you're right Nassim
Hi friends !
I am so happy to see such discussion. I want to voice my opinion concerning citizenship.
let's say that citizenship is first of all a feeling of pride when belonging to a certain country. It is not only a feeling but it is also an action. To put it differently, citizenship means enjoying you own rights without forgeting to exercise your obligations and duties towards your community .
an active citizen is the one who takes care of himself as a person , the one who plays a vital role in his house with his family, the one who takes part in various social and enviromental activities in his school, in his neighbourhood, in his city, in his country , and why not globaly.
I am sorry to say that a large number of students know their rights quite well ,but when it comes to responsibilities they dont perform as much as they should do .
to sum up, an active citizen is the one who gives as much as he takes. bear in mind that we took and still we are taking a lot from our own country.
Well-said Mr Ganouni …
If you have any contribution for the website (lessons, quizes, articles, …), you are warmly welcome .
Thanks

A great discussion in here!
May I iterfere?
Yes, "Citizenship is to be effective in your area".
This means a lot of things. If we want to build our country and wish prosperity and wellfare for our community, we should "think globally and act locally". That is to say, one has to believe that we, people of the world, really have a lot in common, too many things that gather us; that's why we should be interested in building this human society, and be active in one's community to empower one's kind and species for a more developed and sustainable human society economically, politically, and culturally.
Can anybody elaborate more on these ideas?
I would be very grateful.
Many thanks!
for me the
Citizenship denotes the link between a person and a state or an association of states. It is normally synonymous with the term nationality although the latter term may also refer to ethnic connotations. Possession of citizenship is normally associated with the right to work and live in a country and to participate in political life. A person who does not have citizenship in any state is said to be stateless.
