Abdo and his companion went sightseeing in Bab –Elhad, In Rabat. It was Friday afternoon, around three o’clock, the day was a bit chilly, for it was November. Despite the warmth of the sea, the weather was colder. The aim of their sightseeing was just to walk and spend the spare time since the seriousness of work hasn’t begun yet as the ENS announced. While walking and gossiping, next to them a ragged fat young man was approaching toward them. Abdo recognized the man. “This was one of colleagues in primary school, his name is El younsi” he whispered to his companion before they shake hands with him. Abdo hasn’t met El younsi since he was a little boy. It’s about fifteen years.
As Abdo and El younsi met each other, they greeted each other, but El younsi rushed to hug and kiss with a very warming respect. Abdo was surprised at such a greeting. “What’s wrong?!” Abdo started, his friend was just gazing at El younsi; he was not aware of anything. El younsi started to complain, he told them his story as following: “ I came to Rabat yesterday, I brought some watches so as to sell them, but I was caught by the police; I spent the night just on the pavement, as you see I’m penniless, and I haven’t tasted a bite..” “Ok ok”, Abdo interrupted him. “Let’s go, you are going to stay with us tonight.” El younsi hesitated a little bit, but his face was smothered by a delight. Three of them caught a bus to Yaacoub El mansour.
